In order to celebrate the Women’s Month in Armenia, Unison NGO held the 5th National Beauty Photo Contest of Women with Disabilities under the slogan “Miss Beauty 2010”. The purpose of the action was to challenge the societal stereotypes related to persons with disabilities and demonstrate that disability does not prevent girls and women from being beautiful and active members of society.
71 women with disabilities from Yerevan, all 10 marzes of Armenia, as well as Akhalkalaki (Georgia) and Los-Angeles (USA) participated in the contest.
