What do you usually imagine when thinking of women with disabilities? A wheelchair, a white cane, a victim of earthquake? The photo exhibition featuring girls with disabilities came to break these stereotypes and take the image of women with disabilities outside the frame. The photo exhibition organized by Unison NGO within the framework of an Open Society Foundations - Armenia funded project was opened on the 26th of October at the Moscow Cinema in Yerevan and, lasting 4 days, gave numerous visitors a chance to form a fresh perspective of women with disabilities.

Unison NGO is now 10 years old. To celebrate this important anniversary, a festive ceremony in Erebuni Plaza Business Center was held on July 4th. Donors and supporters of Unison, top government officials, partner organizations, past and present employees, the winners of various competitions organized by Unison, the persons with disabilities who Unison helped gain employment, and simply our friends joined us at this celebration.

On April 6th the atmosphere in Komitas Chamber Music Hall was festive. The occasion was created by Unison, which had announced a traditional beauty photo contest among Armenian women with disabilities. The event was supported by the Paros Foundation (USA). This was already the 6th beauty photo contest and had participants from all over Armenia.
