Miss Hayq 2014

On April 5, the Final Show of Miss Hayq 2014 - the 7th National Beauty Contest of Women with Disabilities was held in Komitas Chamber Music Hall in Yerevan. 12 beauties were competing for the title of Miss Hayq and other prizes. Qristine Piruzyan was awarded Miss-Hayq 2014 title, and Nour Samoel, a Siryan-Armenian, became Vice-Miss. Yerevan Municipality, Paros Foundation (USA), Zigzag, Nushikyan Association, Renoir Women’s Club, Noyan Tapan Bookstore and Barsis (represented through Mary chain stores) supported Unison NGO in the organization of the contest.

Unison Holds Monitoring of Accessibility of the Streets and Polyclinics of Yerevan
2014-01-23
In December 2013, with support from the Open Society Foundations - Armenia, Unison held a monitoring of physical accessibility of the active streets and all polyclinics in Yerevan for wheelchair users and other persons with limited mobility. The outcomes were presented to the Yerevan Municipality. Significant part of our suggestions has been already included in the 2014 plan. 175 or more curb ramps will be constructed this year in different locations of Yerevan.
