The Virtual Museum of Komitas Vardapet

The Unison NGO has launched the Virtual Museum of Komitas Vardapet (www.komitas.am) – the official site of Komitas (Soghomon Soghomonian), the great Armenian musician, founder of the Armenian classical music. The project was supported by a grant from the Armenian Branch of the Open Society Institute – Assistance Foundation. The Komitas Website contains rich information on the great composer’s biography, music, students, poetry, musicological work, etc. Visitors can download dozens of pieces of music by Komitas free of charge.
