Beauty Photo Contest of Disabled Women

For the first time in Armenia, Unison NGO conducted a Beauty Photo Contest of Disabled Women. The Contest was announced on 23 February. The Organizing Committee received photos of 47 women with disabilities from Yerevan, Artashat, Gyumri, Vanadzor, Sisian and other regions of Armenia. Information support for the event was provided by Ardzagank, Van and Hit-FM radio companies. The Jury consisted of renowned figures of Armenian art and culture: Alexander Grigoryan (Chairman), Metaxe and Yervand Yerzinkyan.

The prize-giving ceremony was held on 7 March in Unison’s office. Shushanik Nakhapetyan, the contest winner, was awarded the title and crown of Miss Beauty 2004. The other three prizes were awarded to Armine Smbatyan (Miss Smile), Haykushik Tangamyan (Miss Charm) and Nelli Stepanyan (Miss Grace). The prizes were provided by Zigzag Electronics and the Nushikian Association.
