Civil Society – The Right for All

Today in the new office of Unison located at 36 Demirchyan Street, a closing event within the framework of the Eurasia Foundation / USAID-funded project “Civil Society – The Right for All” was held. The project team presented the outcomes of the activities and outlined the future plans of the organization. Representatives of international organizations (Eurasia Foundation, USAID, World Vision Armenia, CRS), Ministries, local authorities and NGOs, as well as MP Armen Ashotyan, several staff members of the Human Rights Defender’s Office, the first Ombudsperson of Armenia Larisa Alaverdyan, and other major stakeholders attended the event. The presentation started with demonstration of TV clips promoting the accessibility of public places for people with limited mobility. Project lawyer Marat Atovmyan delivered a brief presentation of the draft law on accessibility. The event was concluded by a discussion. H1, Armenia-TV, ArmNews, AR TV companies, Public Radio of Armenia, news agencies and other leading mass media outlets covered the presentation.
